My recent work is a form of research and relic-keeping. I work with found objects such as old paper, spools of thread, and seam binding. I employ techniques such as stitching, staining, and drawing to revive and rework these materials that have been tossed aside. I carry a sense of bittersweet remembrance for what these objects represent: a past I was not a part of but a past that shapes who I am.
